For example, the investment firm BlackRock has recently announced a demand that its investees adopt a new model of corporate governance that incorporates contributions to society into their strategy for long-term growth. BlackRock CEO Laurence D. Fink’s comments are an authoritative illustration of the mission, vision and principles embedded within the Satell Institute.How exciting! We are delighted to announce that University of Connecticut's Business Law Professor Stephen Park has been named the first Satell Fellow in Corporate Social Responsibility.
This Fellowship is established at the University of Connecticut School of Business, with the initial grant for 5 years. Stephen will make a wonderful first Fellow. The announcement is here.
The Fellowship will support will support Park’s continued research in corporate social responsibility and related fields, including socially responsible investing and corporate environmental and social reporting. In this vein, I strongly recommend his great article, “A Firm-Driven Approach to Global Governance and Sustainability,” written with G.
